It’s not about me. It’s always been about you.

MC Workshops, 2011

If you want to be a better DJ than the industry standard, or if you know you can be a DJ who helps change the perception of the DJ industry itself, if you want to be able to charge more than the industry standard, I want to help you achieve your goals. I want to help you stand out as one of the elite in the mobile DJ industry so that your name will automatically be perceived as being worth more not because you charge more, but because you are a more qualified, professional and successful Mobile DJ and MC than those around you who charge less.

Getting what you’re worth. It’s a simple concept but one that is often unconsidered when small business owners decide what to charge their clients. Often, we allow industry standards to hold us back not just in determining our worth in dollars but when it comes to the level of skill and professionalism we bring to the table.

As we all know the Mobile DJ Industry is sadly lacking when it comes to professionalism prevailing over adequacy. There are few other industries where the bar has been set so low by the people who work within it and more surprisingly has been accepted by clients whose expectations are equally so low it often seems like anything goes.

What I want most is for you to succeed, as defined not by the low bar the industry has set, but by your own terms. As a mobile DJ, Master of Ceremonies, small business owner, large business owner, entertainer and as a human being, I want you to speak and communicate more effectively; more authentically; with passion, understanding, and caring. By doing so, you can change lives. You can save lives. You can make the world a better place. Because anyone – rich or poor; famous or unknown – who has had that sort of impact has been an effective communicator. Whether it was back in elementary school or in the Oval Office.

The good news if you weren’t born with outstanding communication skills is that becoming an effective communicator is something you can learn how to become.

I know why I’m here. It’s to help you learn how and to expand this idea: It’s not what you do, but how you do it that changes people’s lives, including your own. It’s all about Love.

If I can help you see yourself and your world differently, then I’m living my purpose, for which I am deeply grateful.

Mark Ferrell Receives a Standing Ovation from the ADJA

The Short Story:
Mark Ferrell began his “Big Adventure” in 1983 when he met Rebecca, fell in love, and they decided to never be away from each other forevermore. The adventure has taken on a variety of forms over the more than 25 years since finding one another – from flying their own two-seat airplane from Huntington Beach to Minneapolis and back; to inventing a one-of-a-kind DJ/Entertainment company, which led to a “movement” in the wedding industry; to cruising the world as Art Directors aboard Princess Cruise Lines; to marrying on the island of Maui, to High Sierra excursions and many other travels.

Through it all, Mark and Rebecca’s common theme has been and remains, “It’s ALL about LOVE.” This is a theme that permeates everything they think and do; and leads them daily. It is a theme that is multi-layered, broad, and all-reaching. As a result, the many and varied people that Mark and Rebecca interact with become their focus and main concern, which has been a richly rewarding way to live.

Mark has spent his entire career working in the entertainment industry – from theme parks to radio, night clubs, voice acting, television, and even dancing on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. The last 15 years have been dedicated to improving the mobile DJ industry worldwide, with an acute eye on why.

In 2000 he gave a presentation at the Mobile Beat DJ show called “Getting What You’re Worth.” That performance created a shift felt throughout the Mobile DJ Industry as a whole. In that moment Mark raised the bar. He created a global awareness that not only could DJ’s do better, they should do better because the benefit would be mutual for both themselves, being able to charge more, and for their clients, who would have a more successful event. His end goal is to multiply the success he and Rebecca achieved and extend that impact to the clients and audiences of those they train. Simply put, he wants DJs to do a much better job so that their events will be amazing, which can change lives and make the world a better place. Mark wants every DJ to live up to his or her fullest potential and achieve their highest level of success.

Mark’s diverse background puts him in a unique position to enlighten wedding professionals on the finer points of being extraordinary by providing inspiration, information, and training that helps them serve their clientele more completely, which creates more opportunities for higher rates, more bookings, and legendary customer satisfaction.

Mark conducts workshops (with a maximum of 8 attendees per session), seminars, and discussions on speaking, presentation, entertainment, and broadcast skills to help mobile DJ’s accomplish their goals.

Through the MarBecca Method, Mark Ferrell has helped to create some of the most successful industry leaders, presenters, authors, and advocates in the mobile DJ industry.
